Surf Fishing

Want to do some salt this year!
I don’t really do a lot of salt, when I do it’s a charter with anchovies and squid.
I’d like to do some surf! What are some good baits/lures?
Also some jetty/walkway fishing.
I have tons of unused Bass plastics some are actually for salt as well.
So I’m pretty set for jigging.
If you can let me know some good baits I’d appreciate it!

If you want to target halibut in the surf, the luck craft flash minnow or surf pointers do well. You can also use the trusty krocodile or kastmaster lures, soft plastics, etc

Gulp camo sandworms (2") on a carolina rig also do well in the surf for barred surf perch, yellow fin croaker, walleye surf perch, etc. The gulp sand worms are referred to "crack" in the surf fishing community....and for a good reason.

Live bait: You can also dig for sand crabs at the beach, which is great bait for the croakers, perch , and corbina. Pump for ghost shrimp...or purchase them at your local tackle shop. A lot of guys do well with blood worms also
