lake perris on my mind

Where were you thinking of launching from?
The East end of the lake has been turning out bass lately.

im not sure! i know i will be fishing ledges next to spawning flats! going to focus on 15 to 25 feet of water. maybe check the dam the water should be warmer over there.

have you been out lately? whats the water temperature?

I was out on January 17th the water temp was 57 near the boat launch and Island.
Typically the lake doesn't hit above 60 til the end of February.

ok i made it out to perris. arrived at 6:30 am was in the water at 7:00 am. the water temperature started at 55 an went up to 59. it was overcast all day with a few quick showers. i caught 2 right away left those fish an headed for the ledge found fish stacked in 25 an 35 feet of water. the deep water fish were i killed most of my time didn't want to play so i headed back to the shallows. around 7 feet is were i found some action. i saw a few cruisers i never leave home without my polaris glasses. saw some fish setting up beds not an overwhelming amount but definitely 1 or to early waves. i had a lot of fish pull my warm off. pulled 2 fish i had hooked off. another dozen bites were i didn't connect. for my first trip to perris this year not bad. i ended up with 6 fish should of had more nothing over 3 pounds but all fat chunks. got out at dusk. it felt like the fish were coming. the damage was done on 2 colors of worms pictures don't really do these worms justice.

your right it was am. the color on the right has days were the bite is 3 to 1. the color on the left well ill just say i need to pour some more before i even think about going fishing again. i think i got 3 of them left.
