I don't know if I am the only Long Islander with a tube. I suspect not. Anyway, I got out to Patchogue Lake after work for a few hours and then Blydenburg on Monday in the early after noon. Caught some nice LM mostly on senkos t-rigged. Most of the larger ponds here get weeded up so weightless t-rigged is the way to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong ... but I believe that our FW anglers here in SoCal refer to your "t-rig" as a
"wacky-rig". Inserting the hook through the center portion of the plastic worm.

I mean Texas rig with no sinker. I love to wacky rig senko's. But I find them either 4-5 inch Texas rigged weightless to be almost as effective.

I would have to agree no weight T-Rigs can be great. I like to fish mine off the weedmat, pull it off the mat and let it fall slow.

Thanks for sharing this Robbass1972.

Fishing heavy cover and matted up stuff it is hard to beat the Texas Rig with no weight. You can probe and prod the holes and get back out unscathed most of the time.
