Fished Hunting Harbor Friday. Got a late start as I had to drop off hte kids at daycare. It was a tough day on the water as the wind was a little stronger than I like but i still managed to fish all the way around Trinidad Island. I launched from seabridge park around 1015 and the wind pushed me towards Trinidad island park. I drifted with the wind and manged three bites in the first hour and half. Then the fun started. As i reached the main channel to head back to seabridge park. The first part of that kick was against the wind. I can say a good pair of fins makes all the difference when kicking into the wind. The classic accessories thuster fins worked well as it pushed the seven bass explorer into the wind with minimal effort. It was slow fishing as everything i threw didn't even get a nibble. As I made the turn for the last stretch the kick was cross wind. I fish the docks hard and manged a few more bites. I beat the skunk with a small spottie and followed that up with a sand bass that was barely bigger then the 3.25 in MC i was using. The kick along the outside of the island was about 2 1/2 hours. It was fun just being out on the water. I did see a sea turtle in the main channel. That was a cool and pleasant surprise. Take care guys and tight lines.
