whats up everyone, I haven't been here in a while do to everything but fishing lol. Here is a video report from the trout opener at Santa Ana River Lake. My lil fishing buddy (my daughter) and I took out the float tubes for a cruise at the lake and this is what happened. I hope you enjoy the video, tight lines

SAR is a funny place. I kicked the whole lake one day and only caught fish in that one spot where everyone congregates.

Thank you, yes SARL can be fun and at times you have to really work for them bows but once you understand and know the structure there, you will always be on fish even on tuff days. The oxygen flow is good in that part of the lake plus there are a (HINT) few excellent spots in that area that hold some big trout. Thank you for watching

I'm good Chris..........the wife had breast cancer and starts her radiation next week, but all looks good. I just picked up a Savage Gear 170 tube, did a session at HH Tuesday. I like it a lot............GT

Thanks for the prayers Chris. 8th of Dec Kevin's Breast Cancer Drive? R u going, I've been kicking it around......maybe you can give me some pointers on how to use your Trout King jigs. I have had good luck with them in the Sierras, not so much at SARL's..............GT

Yes bro Im planning on going lightning hunting lol, I will text you Friday, Im planning on taking my float tube out there as well and yes Ill let you know what colors I use out there just keep in mind, lightning trout are a bit more picky lol!
