Gathering at NPH, Sun 12-2-2018.
(This was my 61th Float Tube session of the 2018 Season).
Gathering Summary:
The weather started off clear, cold (51 deg) and slightly windy (the predictions were for morning wind gusts at 12-mph) it didn't happen (YEAH!!), the wind was actually calm to none. It also warmed up to approx 64 deg by 12:00 hrs, it was also a constant OG tide, so I kicked against it for a while and then rode it back to my launch at 11:30 hrs, the water conditions were also perfect ... but the fishing on the other hand was just so-so at best (no fish were landed by me the 1st hour nor the last hour of my 4.5 hour session neither) ... but it was still lots of fun!
We must have been a gathering of approx 35-38 float tubers.
We all stayed after our float session and we enjoyed each others company, shared all of our DIY float tube projects with one another and we had a fantastic BBQ prepared for all of us as well! KUDOS to the chief wiseguy ! The food was perfect, the laughs and the camaraderie were second to none! Bottom line ... this year's 8th Annual FTFF Toy Drive (held at both Lake Perris and at Newport Harbor) was a SUCCESS people!! I think our best!
Thank you to all of you that participated and shared in the joy of giving at this year's gathering!! You guys are awesome!!!
