So FTFF will be hosting a tournament on 9/11/11 in Newport Harbor. Format will be 2 person Team fishing with the prizes going to biggest fish, Most species caught and of course everyones favorite, "Smallest Fish" !Prizes will be from Big Hammer and I am sure a bunch of other really good stuff.
We are planning a $10 per person member/ $15 non member buy in for biggest fish pot. Biggest fish pot is per person so both team members do not have to enter and is seperate of the tournamnet itself. 80% return for the pot with 20% going to the club for admin stuff and other things. Seeing as it's free to sign up on the forum, thats five dollars well spent.
Tournament will be fished either from a Float Tube,Boogie Board and Floaties or Pontoon Boat- NO MOTORS!!!Have to keep this fair.
Start Time:
We will meet at the Starbucks on the corner of Newport and Via Lido at 5 am. Please check in then go fish. You may fish anywhere in the harbor. Your pictures must reflect that you are in the harbor. For a fish to qualify, you will need a digital picture with a time stamp of the fish with a picture of the weight also.
Finish Time:
You will need to be back to Starbucks by 3pm for the weigh in and prizes. If you are not back by 3, your catch does not count. At this point we will award prizes for the Biggest, Smallest and the most species caught. We will also award the Big fish pot if you entered.
Other Stuff:
Please remember that this is a friendly outing. If you are in it to win it only, probably not going to be to much fun!!! We reserve the right to disqualify you from the competition for inappropriate behavior.
