I fished with my friend Jan this morning, Mon 12-24-2018.
This was my 68th Float Tube session for the 2018 Season.
I always like to take a few minutes before each session to calm my thoughts and to remember to give thanks, for being so BLESSED for having such good health and for this opportunity of being here today ... enjoying the water, all of it's abundance and to take-in the breath taking sunrise of each morning's session .... amen!
Location: Grissom Island (Long Beach)
Duration: 06:30 hrs until 11:30 hrs (5 hrs)
Sun Rise: 06:55 hrs
Sun Set: 16:49 hrs, the days should start getting a bit longer as each new day arrives.
Personal Attire: board shorts
Moon Phase: Waning Gibbous
Gray Light: 06:00 hrs, except I never saw the sun because it was always behind the fog or the dense clouds.
Tidal Conditions: KING TIDE 06:30 hrs 4.5 ft, 07:30 hrs 5.6 ft, 08:30 6.6 ft, 09:33 hrs HT 6.9 ft, 10:30 hrs 6.6 ft, 11:30 hrs 5.6 ft ... 16:53 hrs LT -1.4 ft ... etc. That's an 8.3 ft drop on the draining tide.
Air temperatures during session: foggy damp sky's with temps from 52 deg to 62 deg.
Water temperatures: 59 deg
Fish Finder used: Deeper Pro +
Wind: 06:00 hrs 1 mph SSW, 12:00 hrs 3 mph WSW.
Water clarity: translucent green
Large Leaf Kelp Beds: a few strands to report
Water Visibility: 7 - 8 ft
Tidal Coefficient: Dropping ... (CE) 95 in the morning, this is a still a high average and considered a stable rate.
