Solo Session this morning, Thurs 12-27-2018.
This was my 72th Float Tube session for the 2018 Season.
I always like to take a few minutes before each session to calm my thoughts and to remember to give thanks, for being so BLESSED for having such good health and for this opportunity of being here today ... enjoying the water, all of it's abundance and to take-in the breath taking sunrise of each morning's session .... amen![You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The morning winds were gailing when I arrived at 06:00 hrs and so I drove around looking for an AO that would offer me protection from the winds but suddenly the winds quickly died down and the entire morning turned out to be a complete blessing!
Session Duration: 06:15 hrs until 10:15 hrs
Tough fishing conditions to say the least. The King Tides flushed-in a lot of salt water and a lot of salt was left behind as the tides drained. I could hear the salt on reels as they turned, the salt was building up on my skin and my clothing as well. Maybe the reason for a lack of bite was that the salt water had a concentrated condensed-salt in the water ... my guess. I know that my lack of fish bites wasn't because of me, so it had to be due to the water conditions or perhaps the sudden cold snap again. A 1 degree drop in water temperature can shut-off a bite as well!
Anyways .... I'll be staying out of there for a while ... that's for certain. Give it a rest.
Well ... at least I beat the Pole-Cat today! But not by much! Ha ha ha!!
So ... today I circumnavigated Buccaneer Island for a very relaxing kicked back session. I needed to be back at my car before the posted 10:30 AM street sweeping, which occurs on Friday's.
