Just a quick discussion. So most of our events like this one are by minimum length but this event is different. This event will go off of the weight of the fish so please be sure to have a scale ready to go the day of the event. Here is the basic break down of the points system to reach Blackjack "21"

Anyone can fish in any water as long as you are in a tube.
Points are like this.
any fish under 1 lb is worth 1 point
fish 1 lb to 2 lbs is worth 5 points
fish 2 lbs to 3lbs are worth 10 points
fish 3 lbs to 4 lbs are worth 15 points
Any fish over 5 lbs will be its points (what does that mean) a 7 lb fish will be worth 7 points a 12 lb fish will be worth 12 points.

Please have a working scale ready for the day of the event and as always have fun.

Can I use my inflateable pontoon or must I be in a belly boat?

If your legs are in the water you are good to go.

Will we need a code included in each fish and scale pic?

Yes I will send a code out the night before and that code will need to be in each picture to count. You could simply tape it to the scale.

I love fishing tournaments and have fished many back in the kayak days where you bring your fish in to get weighted or go to a weight boat. I know we fish on the honor system but I’m sure you know about fish having weights put in them. Most internet tournaments today and ones you attend go by inches which is a great system because you don’t have to have a bait tank and fish get released right away. And like they say a picture says a thousand words but in this case that can be altered. This is just my thoughts and would like to put it out there if tournaments go this way in the future.

You said it this is an honor system type thing. Its $5 buy in for a few packs of lures so I am sure most will be honest. We do the inches type events but this one needed to be pounds to make it work.

I don't expect to win anything lol just an excuse to hit the water . If I win cool, if not, it's only 5 bucks lol

Yes it will be a fun event and most people are honest. And yes the pay out is small I was just putting that out there cause I read it somewhere were someone put weights in his fish to win a tournament. And yes he was disqualified.

I will still fish this just for the fun and to get out on the water. Now I just need to know how to enter and pay also for some reason I can’t post pics.

I think that these small events would make for a fun video for all to see.
For all you extremely knowledgeable FT guys out there that enjoy make videos ... come on it’s only $five bucks for a day of fun on the water.

Jeff, will there be a start time and a stop time?
I personally felt that the 7 AM until 2 PM was a very long day and I would prefer a 7 AM until 11 AM length of BLACKJACK event.  What are your thoughts on this Jeff?

How will we be posting the fish photos?
On the black jack post or directly to you Jeff?

Don't worry we will get you dialed in. Worse case send me the pics and I will post for you. But I am sure you will have it down pat by then. There is a tutorial that walks you through I will look for it see if that helps.

Just tried to post a pic of my tube and it worked. Don’t know what happened when I tried it before.
