Hey Dan,

Glad you made it out!

I fished on the Long Beach side, due East of your AO.

I flicked some flies for an hour in the morning before work, and for half an hour after sunset after work.

Seems like the evening bite has been better then the morning!  One legal Calico for the 1 hour am session and 5 mostly legal calicos for the 30 min pm session.

All on orange/red Clouser deep minnow.

LA/LB Harbors have pretty decent conditions despite the rain.

ABay and HH get a little funky with all the run-off!

Hi ya Jerdon,

I'm on a personal mission to get as close to 100 session as I can this season. Color me Embarassed silly!

I believe that the Sculpin fish is one of the most beautiful fish in our ocean with it's perfect camouflage to ambush all of it's prey along with it's powerfully painful venom to ward off all it's predators and some of the careless anglers as well.

Thru painful past experiences, I still handle these magnificent creatures but with the utmost caution and with complete respect.

Thanx for chiming-in steve-aka-fishy,

The larger models are awesome to handle and to photograph as well. I give these magnificent creatures lots of respect while handling them!

Hey there KrazyFish,

I don't flyfish but that's no excuse for why we shouldn't hook-up for a few sessions somewhere sometime soon! Thumbs Up

By the way .... that was some pretty good catching that you did the other day at LAB Sir! Cool

I found that all of the storm drains near our Harbors and Bays all discharge directly into the waters that we fish ... FUNKY, but that is what they were designed to do way back when! Evil or Very Mad

Hi ya Jeff,

I'm hoping that I will be a "Trend Setter" and that I can convince all of our FTFF members to join me ... in protecting our pelagic birds, pelagic fish, inner harbor fish and our fisheries for all of our future anglers to enjoy.

Thanx Toby,

I always appreciate your positive input and support Sir! Thumbs Up

It took you a while to convince me but you have now made a true believer out of me with the NED rigs.
I fished it for a solid 2.5 hours last Sun morn and I luved how the fish responded to it!
My Z-Man Big TRD was 4" long and I was missing a lot of strikes and so now I am reducing it down to a 2.75" Z-Man TRD. That should do it! Cool I can't wait to put it to the test!

Thanks volcumsurfrider,

Sometimes these wintery months make me work a little bit harder but they are also really rewarding when it happens!

I found it interesting that you referred to the Sculpin as a thorn! Ha ha ha! I like that!
What a great name for a fish that you would think that if you were to prick your finger on it  .... that it was a poisonous thorn that got ya! lol
