The bite is still consistent at Perris. Stuck to drop shotting roboworms once I figured out where they were. I had to work just a little more for them today but once I found them they were in the usual spots. Once you do find them get ready for the fish to jump and spit your hook. Been losing quite a few like that lately.

I tried using the Tokyo rig today for nada. I was really hoping to get some on this rig but the fish aren't feeling it I guess.

Also want to mention no leg cramps today. Took everyone's advice and ate a banana in the morning and stayed hydrated. The other main thing was I took it easy on the drinking Saturday night. lol

The crowds at Perris are UNREAL right now. It's an absolute zoo if you're trying to take the family.

The first fish in the pics was a tank. Fought really hard and took off with some nice drag peeling runs.

Finally!.. a freshwater report, and at my home lake! I don't do saltwater 'tubing, and hardly anyone here does inland lake fishing, so it's nice to see this. Way to go Steve! Way to get a few bass! Have you tried drifting or slow trolling with a long black, brown or purple Texas rigged 7-9 inch "ribbon tail" type worm. Do this in brushy deeper water. It's been killer lately on the bigger fish.

You are right a lot of salt reports right now and this was a great report from Steve. I am going to throw this out there is it time for Freshwater VS Saltwater guys.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] The wind wasn't bad at all. I mean you do have to kick a little bit to stay in place but nothing you can't handle. What's crazy is the huge wakes the nutjobs create out on the water.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Funny you say that about the Ribbontail worm. I was about to slap one on in a reddish purple color but got sidetracked with the dropshot since it was producing. I'll definitely do it next time out.

I agree with Komori , start slow dragging texas rigs around deeper trees . 25+# bags are VERY common right now on the greenies . Its up to you to find the right trees Thumbs Up keep hunting and you will be out of those nursery fish soon cheers

Tight lines
