Perris In The Fog

My dad (H.M.S. Shorebucket) and I finally made it out to Perris this morning for a short tube session out at the canyon. In the water by 7 just as the sun was coming up... outside temp was 38 degrees and water temp was 54. Kicked out to the canyon and was soon surrounded by numerous boats. Morning started out clear and suddenly a nice thick layer of fog blew in and engulfed the lake. Couldn't see any of the shore from the canyon after awhile and soon some of the other boats around us disappeared into the fog as well. Threw grub tails on a jig, dropshot, ice jig, tailspin, and carolina rigged plastic crawdads to no avail. Decided to kick in at 9:30 with both of us smelling skunk. Only saw 1 bass caught by one of the boaters on a dropshot. Still a good day on the water and enjoying the tube experience, but still looking for that first tube fish... should come soon enough.

That must have been a trip to see the fog role in like that sorry for the skunk thanks for the pic's better luck next time

Awesome picks, fishing is tuff right now with the full moon. Fish are there and it's a matter of time that they will come out and play for you

it was something you don't do everyday that's for sure haha ya the fish seemed to have lock jaw today... were able to meter fish suspended but no takers. the moon definitely has been bright lately they're probably feeding well at night
