Perris 3/14/14

Happy Pie day!

Tubed Perris with my buddy on the Bernasconi side for one 14-15" male green bass on a brown worm, while my friend managed a 3lb+ female on a Hudd Shad.

I was focusing on finding those Crappies that I've been reading about here, but no success. I missed another bass towards the end of the trip and that was it for me. My buddy hooked 4 fish in total and lost 3 to the sticks. lol 4lb in the sticks is not a good idea, but it's not impossible to do.

Nice Catch for you guys , I read both reports and it seemed like a pretty productive day for you 2 . The few Crappie that where being caught was coming out of the Hidden Pond , But since the DFG Ran the boat and Shocked a Ton of fish outta there before they became trapped (over 50) the Crappie have moved .. Where I dunno lol .. Perris has always seemed to be hit or miss for them and is not the best Crappie Lake out there .. Perris was pretty much angler Stocked for Crappie from Elsinore , I remember watching people back in the 80's dumping them in by the cooler full !

We should plan a Trip to Elsinore for the Crappie , rumors are that is about to go wide Open on the bite there any day now !

I see. Thanks for the heads up. My buddy and I were debating on heading to the hidden lake direction, but we ended up turning around and kicked towards the dam.

We launched around 930 or so and the conditions looked like this until about 1230. The weather channel lied to us! But, I didn't mind.
