I got a short window of opportunity to jump in the lake this morning and I'm probably busy till next Monday so I went.

Area fished: Launch Ramp Cove and both Points
Air  Temp: 55 to 70 very light breeze to dead calm
Water Temp 65
Water Clarity 2 to 3 feet
Time 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Should have Hollered I would have rolled out before the storm hit here ... Nice job on the fish . odd that the visibility was only 3 , most places I have been hitting @ Perris have been 6' visibility , must have been the cloud cover

I was wondering if we have to have our Tubes inspected there? I read the rules on the Lake info page said everything has to be inspected .. Canoes, Rubber rafts, Kayaks even your Scuba Gear they say has to be inspected. The reason I ask is because I have watched guys just open the Trunk of their car at the East end parking lot pump up their Tube and walk down the dirt banking and start fishing. And in Sail Cove the same thing, Also the Metal Detector Hunters do the same thing with their wet suits and fins in the Parking Lot?

If you just go with the idea that they will inspect your tube you will be best off. If they see it in the car or the bed of your truck they will most likely inspect it. In January of 2015 all the State parks seem to have stepped up their inspections.

All depends who is at the gate , they all know me there so like Jerdon said I just expect to get checked . I had 1 lady check my rod rack as well . it goes pretty quick and most of the time they just want to talk about your tube and how you fish out of the darn thing
