How were the "new" buoys? Kept the boats and jet skis out of the area ok?

25 Shocked WOW

You must be that #%*@ kid I've been seeing out there for years catching all the fish.
I'm the lone fly-fisherman.I got my 1 bass at noon Red Smile

I took the time to mark all the buoys. The red line links all the new buoys in white. The blue dots are the buoys from last March. Theres only one buoy east of the road. I went as far as twin palms to check.

Sometime around 1pm the buoy st the road drifted out about 100 yards and stayed there. It seemed really odd that it drifted out when there was a decent wind blowing in by then. Anyway this really messed things up. Some boaters saw it and made the hard left to go around it but most missed it and continued the straight line they were going which put then along the shoreline east of the road.

Another schooling from this man

As fisher said most of the fish in the morning were deep 20'-30'buoy line out. I caught my last two, of eight, along the weed line down by the rocks. The last one completely inhaled the senko and bent my rod over. I tried to cut the hook but the fish wouldn't revive so I gave it to a couple when we came in. Sorta of like this but the hook was in the throat and every time that I would put the cutters there it would swallow and the hook would go deeper.

The east end has dried up so now it is Bernasconi, west end for me the rest of the year.
Great fishing with you two even with you better then both of us combined. One time the three of us are next to each other; I am marking fish and guess who hooks up, the guy in the middle-fisher.
It was fun and thanks for the tips and the green weenie worm.

It was easy taking pictures of headcase as he was as slow as me but fisher was a machine and I couldn't keep up with him.

Typical fish we were catching, healthy and strong fighters.

There were a number of fish caught with one eye damaged, probably from the pressure that Perris has gotten so far this year.

Bugger- a BIG thanks! for sharing your Google buoy pic. That's very nice. Too bad it doesn't continue on out past Twin Palms and also the other way to the water tower. Oh well, it's at least better than it was.
