Fly fishing the LAB 8/16/2020

It was nice to get back on the water with all the things going on in the world. I took out my fish cat 4 float tube in a nice warm morning to fine that the water is cooler than it should be at this time of year. I ended up catching a spottie and sandie. I Didnt see much action but happy I caught something. Both were caught on an olive clouser minnow.  Once I landed on the beach, I noticed a tear next to the valve. My bladders are fine, its just the fabric tore from the valve area. Has this happened to anyone else and how do you repair it. Im thinking of going out again on friday but would it be dangerous with a tear?

All in all a great time and looking forward to the next time out

Good on you for getting out and catching a few. I have used cotton thread and hand stitched some tears at the seams on my Cumberland. Never near the valves tho.
