I'm making my second attempt at getting competent with my float tube. I've skimmed thru the videos on Youtube. There are lots of equipment reviews, tube mods, fishing info and a couple on getting in and out (which are useful). But what I really need is a video on propulsion. How do I make the damn thing go from point A to point B without wandering all over the lake. What do I do with my feet? What do I do with my body? Why to I continually make counterclockwise circles? What do I do in a breeze?

Are there any videos out there that would help me?

I have always wanted to do this maybe it's time. I do know we have a magazine article with this info in. Give me some time and I will post the link to it here. Could be a good place to start.

One piece of advice I can give about technique is to pretend you’re pedaling a bicycle backwards. Reach back and down with your toes and throw them forward. That works for me when I need to move against the tide or cover a lot of water Fins selection may be something to look at also . Most any fun will work but a stiffer fin works better for me. I started with just a snorkel fin and didn’t move any water. Went to the Classic Accessories Turbos and picked up tons of extra propulsion.

OK so we wrote an article that is a 2 parter I am not sure reading about it would help but I will post the links here for everyone to have access to the magazines.

I think the video is a good idea if I can make that happen this summer I will.
