You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Last year I bought the Caperlan FLTB-9 and had it shipped stateside.  I also sprung for the UNincluded pump. All the time I imagined I'd have never materialized, but when I did get out, I was grateful for the freedom and flexibility of not dealing with a boat, or waiting for a buddy to get off work, or being stuck on the bank.
This winter I bought the motor, and I'm ready to get back on the water. However, the battery combinations are overwhelming. The 12-volt motor is rated at 240 watts, and on continuous operation draws 18 amps.  So I assume a lithium-iron-phosphate battery, but I need advice on the capacity.  I think 55 mA  would suffice for a day on the lake.  I'd also like a waterproof box that I could attach to the rear of the float tube.  The prices are all over the board, so it's hard to judge.  Plus, if I bought a little greater capacity, I could use it for the trolling motor in my jon boat.
I know this is just fishing, not NASA, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Use a 12v 50Ah  Lithium (LiFePO4) connected to haswing brushless 65# thrust trolling motor enclosed in waterproof monoprice case with power pole connectors.
Took speed controller out of head and hard wired up to the seat and put in water proof enclosure.
Shortened the trolling motor shaft and use stick steering with eye bolts.
Can lift motor up to clear weeds (happens pretty often)
I generally bass fish and run the bank going forward.
Battery last me all day at barrett but have a back up in case wind comes up. Usually 3 mile round trip to back of one of the arms.
