I have an older Hummingbird sonar that I love. I have gone from framed pontoons (which where pretty easy to figure out) to the FRAMELESS models.
I have three different models that are all different diameter so I need something that will adapt.
I have the RAMP mount which is a little pricey, and I do feel this can be done without the Ram system, but here is what I came up with
Parts are the Ram sonar plate, the flush mount ram ball, and a 4" extension. Also 6' of 2" nylon strap with two adjusters and one quick clip male and female.
18" of 1" PVC, 2" Carriage bolt and a wing nut for easy finger tightening.
Lastly, a flexible but little thicker cutting board.

Here is the mobile version I now use:

I also use a small 12Volt rechargeable security battery to power it. Battery is about 4" x 3" X 2"

Pretty good idea and have you tried it out on the water?

Several times. Trick is to put it on the tube while it is under inflated then tighten the straps then inflate tube.

It is very secure.

Very nice! A couple tabs of Velcro under it would make it even more secure.

Absolutely! The cutting board I used has a rubbery back so it won't slide on counters.

Great job! Perfect to switch from tube to tube.
