I drove up to Prescott Arizona yesterday for my aunts 99th Birthday celebration and to check out the lakes which are only two hours away from my home and which show a lot of promise.
The 1st lake was Lynx Lake.
I talked to a couple of anglers there, and they said that the only thing that was biting were the Red-eared Sunfish.
No motorboats allowed.

The 2nd lake I visited was Lower Goldwater Lake.
No bait allowed in this lake only artificial. It holds LMB, Rainbow Trout and Golden Trout.
I walked up the creek toward the Upper Goldwater Damn run-off and I could see Golden Trout laying-up in the shadows of the trees. (beautiful fish)!!! I plan to head back up there with a handful of flies and a clear bobber to try my luck on the Goldens. I think a frog would work in there as well.
No motorboats allowed.
The 3rd lake that I checked out was Upper Goldwater Lake.
A 15 acre lake full of LMB and Rainbow Trout.
The lake’s record LMB there is 16 pounds!
No motor-boats allowed.
There is a fourth lake there named Watkins Lake, which is a huge lake! Again, no motorboats allowed.
The elevation up there is about 5,300 feet and it’s about 18° cooler than it is here at my home and Chandler, Arizona.
So hopefully, I will be writing some reports from the Prescott area and to have an opportunity to spend a few days in the cooler weather.
Our site won’t allow me to attach my pictures for some reason so hopefully in the future, it will clear up to where I can send pictures of the lakes. Maybe it was because I still-shot the pictures off of a video which the site also would not allow.
Adios mi Bro-Migos and tight-lines,
SP Dan <“))><
