Hey guys,

What do you carry in you tube (toon) as emergency gear and I guess the real question is what do you consider an emergency and what do you carry for it??

Here's what I keep in my toon

My cell phone in a waterproof box
a small bike pump
small roll of Gorilla tape
a small patch kit
an LED flashlight
a multi tool
extra AA and AAA batteries
my rain coat
carbon hand warmers
50' of parachute cord
a couple cheap carabiners
lighter and spare pack of smokes
hip flask with single malt scotch
Ziplock bags

Back in the day me and my associates would get ourselves into some pretty hairy spots and/or,
sh-t would happen so over the years I have kept this list pretty much all the time in my toon. I will admit I have an advantage because in my toon I can carry a lot more stuff. What do you carry?

Damn i was gonna say how do hou fit all of that in a tube. I carry:

My handgun
A pocket knife
Headlamp
Cell phone in a water proof bag
My PFD (obviously)
Extra can of dip (bad habit that i blame on the Marine Corps)

Things i need to start carrying after reading your post:

Hand pump, gorilla tape
, patch kit and para 550 chord. I have a flask and might need to bring some captain morgan with me next time....but then again id do too much drinkin and not enough fishing.

And i was joking about my handgun....or am I???

No seriously i dont bring that with me but i never go anywhere without a knife.

I only carry "C" my cell phone lol.
No PFD, rope, tape etc.
when fishing at Night, I have head lamp and my LED light mounted to rod rack above my head.
When fishing in the bay you really dont need all that stuff as your fishing in tight to docks etc.

I can unstander if your floating very large lake or in the back country something like that.

You do bring up a good post bodfish, what do people carry.

Another thing i carry is my extra curado...just the reel as i havent built ny rod rack yet.

You askes what people carry in case of an emergency and what they consider an emergency. My reel breaking or getting spooled when the bit is hot is a definite emergency!

Also a really big thing...i nees to get a whistle...just in case.

I have a whistle that I hang around my neck..Think I'll opt out for the air horn now that you mention boaters not hearing..never thought about that..I carry just about everything else that's mentioned. I also have a small first aid kit that fits in one of the pockets..
