You can park at the gate until the gate opens around 6. At the south side, you dont have to get your floats check.

Yeah sorry I didnt mention but lake opens at 6 am an theres no tube inspection. There is a $10 fee to park but some of you guys can meet at mac ds in mornin an carpool in might be cheaper...... Just managed to land some lures from a buddy so looks like every body who shows should get some free gear. Cant wait you guys should be really fun!!!

My last visit there, I had to go through inspection.

Just checked the SRA site. This is what I found regarding inspections at Lake Perris :

"Beginning April 1, 2009 all vessels entering Lake Perris will be inspected for Quagga and Zebra Mussels. This includes all canoe, kayak and sail boats. Rubber rafts, fishing waders, scuba gear etc."

Better open up and dry out those rod racks and holders maybe? Will they look at that under suspicion? I would at least make sure it was all dry. They have a tendency to retain some water sometimes.

Ok as far as inspections go there is 2 ways to get into perris lake..... The main entrance were all boats must go to launch an the bernisconie rd side were theres no boat launch so no inspections. Theres only a little ticket booth an the guy only opens the gate n leaves. I have never gottin my tube inspected out there an I fished there alot. Aqua if you want to bring grill that would be great we can do a pot lock kinda thing if you guys want.

ok u do not get inspected on the barisconi side i repeat U DO NOT get inspected on the barisconi side on the main gate you do and thats only if someone if there 90% of the time theres no one there so do not worry and even if u do get inspected what u worried about it takes a min to look at a tube

The last time I visited LP we launched at bernasconi but we went to the main gate first to pay and go through inspections.

i'll give the lake a call tomorrow to obtain the proper information.

Question why would you call and basically tip them off for. My buddy and I launched his boat there a few years ago and didn't have to do any type of inspection. The proper way for this inspection requires the vessel to be quarantine for several days. Now I don't do much fresh water fishing anymore so things could have change but all Im saying it sure would such to show up out there on the gathering just to have a park ranger sitting there waiting for us.

How is calling and asking a question, considered tipping them off?

And actually to pass inspection, your vessel doesn't need to be quarantine for a number of days. Your vessel and equipment just has to be fully dry and clean from any debris.


Inspection went into affect in '09. And like I said I'm not trying to enforce this rules, I'm just informing everyone attending.

if you think your vessel has any of the evasive species then drive to the main gate and get it inspected us I.E. guys know where the inspections are and bersconie isnt one of them so to all that get there tubes inspected goto the main gate you might want to give urself an extra 15min cause the line gets long SOMETIMES but do what you thinks best for you and the lake. L.P. is layed back when it comes to the DFG and rangers are cool just pick up after yourself and enjoy watch for speed boats, jet ski's oh and water skier's they drink too much and forget were there so you might want to bring the biggest football jig or lunker plunker to cast at them when they get to close no bullshit lol

Lol.... Ok guys bernasconie rd doesnt do insepections....... Fisher an I just went out yesterday an had np. Jus like last gathering we will meet at the perris campground an go out all at once. Like kona said if u want to do inspections go to main gate then scurrie to burnisconie rd. I just obtained a bunch of soft plastic lizards, worms, n craws for everybody who shows cant wait till the 25 th gunna be way fun!!!

ya flyfish if u want to get inspected go to main gate dont get everyone else inspected cuz your scared or somethin and when callin it does sound like a tip off "you inspect barisconi side no o ok ima go on that side" and now they will be on that side inspectin ppl DONT RUIN IT FOR THE WHOLE BUNCH
