April fools day bass gathering!!!!

Partly cloudy in the morning, then clear. High of 63F. Winds from the NW at 5 to 10 mph.

its nice outside and its going to be awesome day tomorrow. 5-10 knots of wind is nothing. Dont tell me you are backing out cause of the weather ?

O man the moons showin n the clouds are startin to fade away........ I hope this lil cold front moves on past like it looks like its doin. Jus went out with fisher for some night fishin a lil warm up for tomorrow. Got 2 nice bass an all warmed up for tomorrow cant wait guys ill see you all in the mornin

Yup im up here right now and its a bit chilly but the sky is looking pretty clear. Question for anybody reading this: where exactly is the entrance? Is it near the fairgrounds or whatever its called....with the bmx track and skate park and crap on the right of that road? Or is it a different entrance?

Im pretty excited....tomorrowmay be my last chance at a big largemouth bass. Never caught one over 3 pounds before...

Lol its by the fair grounds n bmx track that road once you go threw main gate fallow the sign to lot 11 n 12 im excited too got a couple new baits to try n some ol tried n true ones hopefully we all can land some hogs

I hate to flake.. especially since I've never done freshwater fishing ('cept from shore)..
As it turns out, I'm on-call this weekend, and so it the person I was going to carpool with.
I need to stay local, so I'm going to tube my local waters.. sorry guys.

Actually, I have to go in to work right now, so let's see what time I get up tomorrow. I guess I have no excuse, since Brian is sleeping in his truck!! I'll be out on the water tomorrow!! I'm committed now!

I hate to say it but I thinks normal at least from the few gatherings that I have seen

Yea i didnt fish last night after all...the drive up here was longer than i expected so i just headed up.

Sleeping in my truck did suck though...forgot a blanket so i froze all night. Nothing new though considering ive spent the last 4+ years sleeping on the ground using rocks as pillows.


Doc, you don't have an excuse but make sure you get some rest if you decide to do any fishing. I saw some idiots the other night that made me question the legitimacy of the CA driving test. No need for you to be tired on the road with these idiots.

Sorry I couldnt make i. I have a list of excuses but I wont use them. I was looking forward for the event. I even made a float tube Caddy with Perris in mind so that I could roll my tube to the water and detach the wheels and keep them with me. Hopefully next time I can make it. I hope everyone has fun.

It's pretty much the norm for alot of gatherings on most forums I have been on. Fishing, car, camping, biking... get togeathers always seem to thin out last minute for some reason but on the very very rare occasions they don't it's usually a blast.

I think my brain was fuzzy. Headcase won? Congrats buddy. I thought Kona did.

Here are the results:

1st place: Headcase 5.3 lb bass....... won 50% of entry lures
2nd place: Tubinferbass 2.8 lb bass....... won 30% of entry lures an $40 cash for biggest bass
3rd place: Konacrush 2.6 lb bass....... won 20% of entry lures
