Another option so you don't have to touch the fiberglass at all would be to goop or industrial adhesive lengths of wood across your tonue cover and then screw the rod holders to those. Maybe paint them before hand black or dark grey so they don't stand out.

Or I have seen some guys use 2 of these across the bed to carry their rods on top of. And leave room to put gear underneath without touching the shell/tonue.

you can always pick up a 4" abs drain pipe from home depot and put all your rods in there and just lay the pipe in back of the bed.

I was showing my buddy my plans today because he has a power drill. I already had the velcro glued to the rod rack...so he put it against the tonneau cover....and it stuck! Cant believe i didn't notice this before lol. I took it for a test ride (nothing too fast...yet) and everything held. Some of the glue pulled away between the velcro and rod rack actually....so i may screw it in after all.

As you can see from the pic it's a tight fit....but works. The key was putting the racks in the absolute perfect position....and closing the cover slowly to ensure nothing snapped off.

Also i had to maneuver the reels so they kinda interlocked....mighthave to invest in some reel covers. Wish that made rod socks with built in reel covers.

Any constructive criticism?

Looks pretty good to me. yep, I'd get some reel covers if you want to keep them looking nice, and help protect them.

Looks good bro. I'm jealous. Reel covers are a plus as stated. I have truck rash on my Revos and it just breaks my heart. I wished I would have learned sooner.
