Leaving Cali....

Well guys...it's true. I've been away from home for almost 5 years and it's time to go back. I had plans to stay out here for at least another 2 years (community college) but after talking to my family I think they really need me back there. My parents are getting old (I was adopted when I was 1....my parents were born in 1936....no BS ). I notice it too, especially on the phone with my dad. He has trouble carrying on any conversation over 5 minutes...forgets what he's trying to say and can't always put sentences together.....pretty sad but part of life. Anyways, I get out of the MArines October 31st but they might let me go on July 31st with 30 days of leave before that. This is so I can start school on time....if all goes planned I'll be out of Cali in the beginning of July.


This isn't a goodbye just yet...still tons of fishing to be done in the next few months. I'll keep everyone updated and hope I can fish with as many of you as I can before I move on.


However, even though this place is filled with hippies and high gas prices it is a place I've grown to love and somehow see myself here in the future...we shall see.

Well, if you have to go, ya gotta do, what ya gotta do. The main thing is that your folks need you, and I really hope all goes well for you, and them. In the mean time stick some toads..

Wow well I understand about the parents that is so cool the did that for you early in life and now it is time to pay it forward. Sorry to see you go but now we will get to see pictures from a new location and hear reports of from a new area.
I am hoping to get to fish with you once before you head out, I am hoping to get out in April at least twice and then once a month after that. I will let you know when and were and maybe we can hook up.

Yup....I'm gonna get some toads for shore. I plan on becoming the new world record holder for spotted bay bass before I leave.

Jeff I'm sure we will be able to fish before I leave. I plan on float tubing back home too (mainly freshwater but I know of a saltwater spot for stripers). In other words....I'm taking FTFF to the east coast...spreading the good word and the good vibes.
