I bought some step in fins because I have feet the size of Godzilla! Size 14 to be exact and that is a major handicap when it comes to fins.
When I got the fins I immediately noticed the straps had a loop on the end of them and the strap went through the eye of the fin and then back through the loop to attach to the fin. This was not acceptable. I sewed the loops with 20 lb. power pro so I would not loose the straps in the water. The flimsy plastic latches were trouble from the moment I laid eyes on them. I wear speedo aqua shoes and my breathable waders.
I got into the water and tried out the fins. The latches would come unlocked several times on my last fishinig trip. I knew what I needed to do to solve the problem. I ended up at the commissary walking by the dog collars. $1.99 a collar and four collars later. I was on my way

Now I can go out and use the fins and get a real opinion of how these fins work without having to constantly relatching the straps. You know the old saying:
If you want something done right, you got to do it yourself. Thumbs Up
