Well isn't that the way it goes. Headed out to Lake Perris, on the water at 6:30 and headed East. Caught a dink on my super duper then I finally get to the far East and catch a 2.7 pounder on a DS Robo. Toss back out and catch this 3+

Catch a couple more 2 and 3 pounder but now it is time time head for the beach.

Troll back and catch another dink on a silver Crappie jig.
I continue to work the area, start to pour a cup of coffee an get out a cigar to light and BAM

Didn't see anything on beds yet, these were all caught 6-8 feet of water. 63^.
When I kicked back to the launch I check out Power Boat Cove and the temp is 66^ in the cove. Funny thing about the wind it was coming out of the NE, not what I am used to out there

and this time it was caught on a rig for bass. Miller, Kona, Mass, let me know when you guys want to fish Perris again. It is going to go off in the next couple of weeks especially when the shad show up.

Not really, the males are in shallow waiting for the females. The bass boats are beating the bushes looking for females on their beds. All my fish were caught in open water. There was one bass boat flipping everything he had at what he said was a female, about two feet deep. Next week or two the spawn is going to be on.

It's one of those, can't remember which. Green top and brownish bottom. They liked early morning.

Good report dude! I've never caught a FW bass, I will break that skunk soon I hope! My cousin lives down the road from Perris Lake and always tells me that I can stay at her house and then wake up early and go fish so I dont have to make the long drive from LA. Might have to take her up on that offer!
