the reel i have now i cannot open up very easily, so i can't oil it. so i was wondering if anyone here was selling a shimano reel, that i would be able to open easily to oil and talk the salt out.
curados work fine and i think a lot of shimano reels do. so if anyone had a reel they were willing to sell at a decent price, please let me know.

thanks

What type of reel to you have now? Any reel will seize up if you don't take care of them!

Most of your reels have seals on the covers. Whether it be a gasket or a rubber seal. There should be no reason to open your reel except for once a year cleaning or if you drop it in the saltwater. I always rinse my reels and rods off in the shower and then I spray them with Salt-X a salt neutralizer. I also use Triflow to spray on to all moving parts. I have never had rust or damage do to salt on any of my reels or rods. I don't have any reels I can sell at this time.

I have a Johnny Morris reel if your interested. Super great reel always rinsed with fresh soapy warm water and hand dried after every use. Still looks amazing after 4 yrs of use! I have taken once to SavOn Tackle for clean and lubed, has never needed to again. It is buttery smooth and has good drag. Has custom EVA knobs and neoprene glove cover. Let me know if your interested. Text me at 562-277-5050. I'll take $100.
