Thanks for sharing this vid Phil. I am waiting for my ODC 420
to arrive so my D-ring set up will be differant, but what I
got from watching this was the great tip of where to get some
inexpensive straps to pack my tube on my back. I didn't buy the
ones that Creek Co. sells mainly because I had already blown my
meager, somewhat "fixed income" entertainment wad by several
dollars for the month and didn't want to add to the guilt. LOL
I have already learned so much from joining this forum and have
figured out many ways to DYI and save dollars on the mods I will
be doing,and my tube hasn't even arrived yet!!! According to Fed-
Ex by "baby" will arrive July 3rd so I will be celebrating in the
water, cool and totally entertained by tube-fishing, the way God
intended me to be!! Have a great holiday and to all of you Vets
on this forum, I would just like to express a simple but whole
hearted, "THANK YOU for your service!"

Doesn't the Cucumber have D rings under the seat for the straps?  That is how you pack a ODC 420 on your back?

Great video and idea - this was my biggest complaint about my Cumberland.  I will try crossing the straps and I think I'll be much happier  There are holes in the bottom of the seat where they could have mounted rings so I just use an eye bolt with a nut and washer.  Not perfect, but workable and much more comfortable.  I think the method shown on the video will be better.  I like to attach a lot of gear, so having the tube face forward and ride up higher will be a huge advantage.

I snagged my military backpack straps from the frame... 4 d-links later I have a padded, adjustable strap that sits the weight right where you want it.
