It Happened To Me...

I get off work Friday May 25 and I have a three day weekend to look forward too. I plan on fishing Tidelands on that Sunday. I wake up Saturday morning and my right arm lower triceps muscle is swollen and hurting. I think maybe I pulled a muscle so I cancel my fishing trip and take it easy for two days. The swelling increases and so does the pain so I end up at the doctors Monday. I am diagnosed with cellulitis (infection) in my lower triceps muscle. I find this very ironic since I never get sick and I live a very healthy lifestyle.
By Monday night the pain is friggin killin me so I pop the Vicatin ZZZZZzzzzzz.
I stay home from work all week and play couch potato while I keep popping the antibiotics.
After a week the swelling is gone and my arm is a little sore when I move it. The good news is,
a lot of paid sick days on the books, the weekend has arrived, and I plan on fishing this Sunday.

Did the Dr. Say why it happened?

Dam that sucks man sorry about all that glad you are better. get out there fish and forget for awhile. But go slow and take it easy.

A bacteria enters through your skin through a cut, a crack or wound. It gets into your blood stream and settles in some part of your body. I checked it out on the web when I got home from the first doctor visit and it was eye opening to say the least. Check the web "Cellulitis".

nasty stuff!
hubby got 3 spots on his hand.
2 visits to the e.r.
& some major antibiotics.
he works on a ranch and best we could figure had a cut that got infected.
the second e.r. visit was when we noticed the red line climbing his arm!!
make sure you finish ALL those pills!
