What up fella's and ladies Very Happy I been doing some crazy stuff lately on my tube and took it out on the open ocean Twisted Evil beach launched out to the spot in 3 - 5 ft sets 1 mile out on a reef sooo much fun plus its a rush being that far out on a tube.its a lot different then harbor tubing or lake cause you cant bring everything your used to bringing (just the bare necessities) 1 rod two planos for swim jigs and plastics and a secure dry bag with a couple of other things i cant get wet if you havnt tried it get the blood going for sure, BTW my buddy hooked into a Thasher in his Kayak and i'm in my tube LMMFAO [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

That's what is cool about a tube, you are limited only by the size of your balls.

I think the tides help. We've done surf launches from Long Beach.. not exactly wide-open wild surf, but still can be pretty rough. Fun.

Back in the day, you would have been 'that guy' on a Kon-tiki raft wondering, "hmmm, where do I want to go today?" Must have been a blast that far out. For me, it's not how deep the water is, but how far do I want to swim? Who am I kidding? I can't swim more than my body length these days.
