Just wondering: do any of you guys use paddle and what kind? Just to help yourself turn and swim few yards forward if you need to instead of swim backwards in circles?

I've never tried it but it seems like it wouldn't work well on a tube. Plus, where would you keep it while not in use?

you can place it in one of those so called rod holders (Velcro that comes on Cumberland) or you can have it on a paddle leash floating next to the tube. I'm literally making my first steps in tubing and thinking out loud about simplifying it a little.

Once you get used to the fins it'll become second nature. You won't need a paddle.

The only problem I ever had was on my maiden voyage. The wind was howling and I kept getting blown into the tulies. I think a paddle might have helped me that day just to push me out of the tulie jungle. Should not have even been on the water that day!

No, don't think you need a paddle.

I have been tubing 2 times now and you don't need a paddle.  It only took a few minutes to get used to the fins, but not a problem. If I had more time on the water, it would be much easier. Fish when the current is not ripping (like my first trip and part of my 2nd trip)
