Been 6 weeks since I last launched the tube. Cloudy forecast - had to get out. Caught three, but the first one made my day. Beat my old best by 1.8 lbs. Caught her on a Zoom Trick Worm in California 420 color - Drop Shot! Who says only small fish fall for DS?

This fish pulled so hard I thought I had a big catfish! 8.82 lbs.

Very nice! El Cap is one of my old stomping' grounds! I have fished there many times way back in the early 1970s when we all kept the bass and put them on stringers!

Congrats on the Catch , that is a sweet LMB ... And as far as the Drop Shot goes I have caught my largest fish on it at Perris @ 10 and 12 lbs on a 4" worm and 6 lb line ...Hoooya
