LMB personal best at Lake Perris 08/27/11

Went out there today to catch some more Blue Gill and landed this 7 lb beauty

Caught it on a white crappie jig and two pound test line. I had to chase her for awhile as my drag was screaming and line was peeling off like the old days when I would fish for tuna.
Fish are in deep water 20'-25'

Big fish hitting small jig. I was DS a purple Robo and doing pretty good but I always keep a jig in the water just in case.

great job, nice fish! I often use crappie naits when fishing for LMB they work great and sometimes they catch a big fish. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work there kelster I bet that was fun on the end of that light line.

There was a boat of people just soaking in the sun near by and it must have looked like the bass was towing my tube as I was kicking backwards to try to keep up with that line stripping LMB. After I finally landed her they were giving me a standing ovation. Funny stuff. I like the fishing experience from the tube, it is so different then any other fishing experience.
