I was there about 3 weeks ago. I was on the water for a few hours. Trying my usual go to bait... No luck!!! Switched over to some trout plastics I purchased (Mooneworms) only 3" worm with no exotic pattern what so ever. First cast out on the opposite side of sailors cove. BAM!!! Linked up on what I thought was a trout cause it was swimming erratically almost at the surface. Jumped out of the water about a foot and realized it was a Green back. Landed that puppy... Weighed in 2.14lbs just shy of 3lb. Pudd can be difficult. With these weather patterns lately is open season...EARLY!!
