So here's a quick report of a solo session at the LAB today. Launched at the library to give the 2nd st bridge a try. Nada. Water was low but the tide was coming in. Kicked the opposite way and started getting shorties. (Sandies, SBB and lizzie). But the highlight was the loud SPLASH that happened in front of me.  A freaking 300-400 lb dog. Gawd damn!  Actually I didn't say a word. Just froze and watched him come up and dove down, up, down, up & down as he swam away. Then it was quiet. Water calmed down as if nothing happened. Then I whimpered....."f@ck that".  Started *&@#* kickin it back to the launch site. Then after about 10 kicks, I didn't see any signs of the puppy, so naturally started fishing again. Then I got this guy

Started using a bunch of different lures a buddy of mine wanted me to try so I was texting him the catches with his lures as I was heading back to the site.
Oh, met a couple out there with brand new FC4 (awesome camo green) who was tubing for the very first time. The gal was ecstatic as she hooked two almost legal butts only to break off on her lap. The other guy has seen better days. First time using a bait caster. Can u say BIRDNEST!
All in all another good day in the water. Had to head home to hang with the wifey.
Total count: 4 Sandies, 2 SBB and couple Lizzie's.

Nice job with the fish count. Those seadogs are curious by nature, but if you get into their territory they may do something about it. BTW, for your future adventures please don't hold a spotty or any bass really by the gills. It seriously damages them where infection and breathing issues may become a problem for the fish. Thanks!

I normally lip grip bass but I slit my thumb so the lil serrated teeth the bass has only reopen the wound. Good eye and more importantly thanks for voicing it out. This dude swam away unharmed. Smile
