Banked it from 7ish to 12 on sunday at the marina. No signs of crappie or shad but a whole lotta carp going nuts. Watched three tubers kick around for a whole lotta nothing as well fishing c-rigs and drop shotting worms. Saw one guy hook into a dink crappie as I was leaving. Should've took out the tube and hit the salt instead Mad

Hey Kin,

seems thats the way it always is....when i get skunked on salt i say EFFFF...i should of done fresh and vice versa....haha sucks....at the fred Hall show they had vids of this place holding lots of bass!

Elsinore is a great bass lake with wipers...But shore fishing is so limited with most of the lake being relatively shallow and I can't say how it fishes in a tube because I haven't done it yet...It's on my to do list.

You should have at least fished for carp with your crappie outfit. They are fun on ultralight rods!

Brought only the crappie jigs or else I would have used my long rod for them

Yeah Kin, I understand. But I have actually caught a 9 lb carp while fishing for crappie with a white 1/32 oz. marabou crappie jig and 2 lb test line at Laguna Lake. Carp will at times take a small jig or other lure.

I was a bit green with envy, I admit. But the wife was thankful that I went home with the stripe. She's not a fan of the fishy carp smell on me to say the least. Being banished to two hot showers in consecutive order makes me resemble a cooked lobster -_-
