Howdy.....

50 yr old male, I enjoy walks on the beach.
With a fishing pole.
Long romantic nights on the lake.
With a fishing pole.
Seeking like minded.
Who know how to use a fishing pole.

Closest I ever got to Tubing was my father made a make shift raft at Bautista Lagoon Carlsbad around 1975 and we floated around for an hour before someone called the cops and they threw us out.

I have to try this tubing thing out. Since we sold our boat back in 2002 I have been stuck on shore watching these guys float by me.
I keep thinking of what I would do, how I would do it and how many fish I would catch.
But, being a newb with the whole thing I figured I would hang out here for a while and learn at least some do's and do not's.

A lot of great information here, it goes on and on. The float tube can get you places you would never reach from shore, and some places you wouldn't go in a boat.
FYI... I have a Cumberland and my 12 pac cooler does fit in the storage area behind the seat.

I would not have known that.
That's really why I'm spending so much time here reading as much as possible about setups, equipment and the like.
In today's world there should be no need for me to spend a ton of money on whats not going to work for me when all this information is available.

welcome to the boards. You've come to the right place. Don't forget the Cumberland also comes equipped with two beer holders. One on each pocket so that brings you up to 14 beers   

Also you can wear one of those beer helmets. We are up to 16 now.

All you need know are some floats on your ankles so you can kick your feet up. And don't worry about kicking around, just tie off to one of your buddies!
