Is it just me or....

Gettin' the skunk blows but isn't it funny how you spend the entire session for nada and then towards the end you get bendo on a 8" dink but that 8" dink made the day where as if you caught a few fish and one is an 8 incher, you won't even think twice about that dink? Me on the other hand, I take pictures of almost all of my catches and when I get home, I examine every single one of them on my phone while recalling how I got them. It's my way of enjoying the fishing and reminiscing what had just happened that morning or afternoon.

Love the Feeling of just catching a fish and being on the water .. heck even yesterday when I was out on the water and I hooked a fish and get it all the way to the tube and watch it launch 10" out of the water and shake the hook , it is all worth it ...

I hear that very true!!! i look at the pic a million times lol lol....good stuff!   

I just really hate getting skunked so that first fish really stands out, and if it was the only fish it is really memorable.

Yep... been there, done that. I just chuckle to myself and might even squeeze out a "did you see that?". Even when there's nobody around.

I seen it! I was with Wes, he showed me some structure on his fishfinder that we were working. That fish was staying deep, Wes was just saying, "she is staying down, doesn't want to come up" and phew! jumped out of the water and spit the jig!

I've been skunked for 2 months now lol

I used to think the skunk just sucked. But I learned over the years that the most important thing to take away from it is info. What did you learn. What will you do different the next time? Can you rationally explain why you got the "Stripe"? What are your adjustments for next time? It's a learning curve...
