Lake Perris 4/15 AM shift

I got shot a hitting Perris this morning. I have no gages on my float so I'm guessing at a lot

Time 7:00 AM till 12:30 pm
Air temp: 65 to 80 I believe
Water temp: Warm  someone said 67
Visibility: About a foot. Green algae every where!!

Stuff I threw
Wacky Rigged Senko ... Green Pumpkin
Texas Rigged chubby worm...  Green
Drop Shot split tail minnow.... Clear Sparkly
Jig ... Green Pumpkin Berkly PitBoss

With last nights full moon I was guessing it would be slow and it was. When I arrived lot  11 was closed so CHP could play with their cars. It sounded fun from in the distance.

After an hour or so I hooked up with 2 small bass while working a point in about 10 feet of water. 45 minutes later I missed with the jig in about 15 feet and as I turned around to go back I hooked up with another small bass on the the Senko I was dragging. I caught 2 more small bass while bouncing the jig. I got nothing over 14 inches, and it was warm enough that I could have survived in board shorts. What worked for me? Green stuff between 5 and 18 feet down.

I was on Perris today for the same time frame had similar results with fish up to 3.5 pounds I fished the points on both sides of the launch ramps you must have been on the point to the east of me. Heard people talking about blue stone for this Thursday seems so early in the year for this the bite seems to be good right now with the algie bloom.

Nice job! It strangely sounds like the algae bloom is actually helping the bite.

I should/would revise my "SLOW" statement, it was a long time between bites and the fish were small. I did have great time!

Helping the bite , the bite is great right now with the pea soup    , I am also hearing the same thing on the blue stone , I was up on Monday and they where talking about it on Thursday.

The Dfg website shows they stocked trout on the 13 I didn't think they could with this warm of water temps already and the algie bloom

The  Tommy Thomas kids fishing tournament is this Saturday. They usually stock trout the night before or morning of the tournament for the kids. The DFG website typically lists the week OF as opposed to the day.

yup the kids derby is on Saturday and they will plant in the early AM of the derby and the prior night before . they also planted trout in 11-12 on April 4th   

Think'n about next Tuesday at Perris........only my second trip in Cumberland to Perris, launched at the dam. So you Perris addicts, where else can one launch. I got my info from Park employees..........

Launch ramps (lot 6) , East end (lot 11-12) , Sailcove where you launched from before .. all good areas

I looked at my Perris Lake map, and I thought you couldn't launch at lot 6? I was given info by store clerk that Bernasconi area was good for tubing too. Ya or Na. Thanks.

bernasconi is awesome for bass i fish there mostly n u can launch from anywhere u want at perris on a tube not a boat

Lot 6 is where the boats launch from and yes you can launch from there.
I have always caught fish from Bernasconi . However, I have been to lazy to walk that far for  a while, plus I don't like leaving my car there. I should point out I have never had anything stolen or damaged, but  I've heard of too many problems at Bernasconi.

I will be able to hit some afternoon sessions next week @ Perris which I hardly ever do , I am looking forward to it because the bass bite picks up @ around 2 .. Also will give me the opportunity to meet a few others that can only tube in the PM
