Ok let's begin with I believe was last Thursday.. went to oceanside harbor fished from 2am till about 9am used an array of lures in the dark for zero.... got some great live bait at dawn for one strike that broke me off and nothing more..... launched on Tuesday morning from 22nd st landing area and fished from 5am till about 11am for a handfull of assorted bass, calico and sandbass... that area was so stuffed with bait that my fishfinder could not get readings from the bottom.. anchovies so thick you could not see through them and the bait balls were hundreds of yards wide and about 20 feet deep. After taking the prowler out of the water I fished on foot at various spots at the lab for no takers.... today I hit perris after getting some intel from misfit and had fun catching 7 bass on some plastics and senkos.... the water seemed to clear up from the last time I was there..
A few notes now: as for the saltwater trips the water temps have gone way down from about two weeks ago when I was getting readings of as high as 66 degrees. Its down to 54 now.. big difference... Perris water temp was 67 at 10 am today..
Saltwater bass were all caught on 3" big hammers in keylime color..
