Anyone fish MDR?

Tubing? I do from time to time. It's definitely one of those harbors with a surprise or two.

MDR I have not tubed yet and wanted to tube it too it also happens to be the closest harbor to me as well. I'll be free in a few weeks and can meet you guys up.

I use to fish on the New Del Mar on the twilight all the time.

I want to give you guys a heads up. My buddy tried tubing there solo before back in February and the Sheriff kicked him out. I forget the reason. Maybe he was kicking in the middle of the channel and being a navigation hazard? Can't remember. Anyways, there's a chance that you guys will have to move to a different harbor so have a plan B just in case.

I used to live there and fished it a lot.. and your right about surprises.. I got a 6.5 sand bass from shore behind el torito bar. I tubed it once without any problem other than getting skunked.. I was there yesterday in fact a got a big croaker from one of my old spots... that place is known for. Halibut mainly...there are some spotties to be found if you work for them..giant leopard sharks too. If you launch from the beach north of the harbor entrance to your left you will find a breakwall in a slight C shape fish the wall at night and hold on there are some monster bass that hang there.
