Preference on scents...

Any preference on scents? I have pro-cure calico coctail and uni butter, but has anyone else had better luck with other STINK products? Or other pro-cure products as they have a huge line of them.

I like uni butter as well I have another scent Bio stick or something like that ill double check ,,, I have it in squid and it works well.

My favorite is hot sauce but I have recently been trying unibutter and a ton of different procure scents. I have tried both fresh water & salt water scents in the salt water. Although, most of the time I don't even use scents at all. Only when the bite really slows down.

I use HOTSAUCE myself and it seems like it works...ive had some sandworms in the water and no go and i pull them out apply the Sauce and i get more bites.....

I like GULP products and im in recovery from using them. Been making my home made uni butter.

I use Unibutter and Hotsauce they both work good but if it's real slow I reach for the GULP sometimes it feels like I'm cheating lol

I mix uni, hot sauce and procure together just because I get lazy to carry 3 bottles lol

That's a good mix bra. I did hot sauce and uni for awhile.

I smear some pro cure calico cocktail on my swimbaits. I like that it stays on there pretty good for a while

Yeah that thick pro-cure works great...used it last night and after some of my go to worms not being hit i threw some pro cure and landed 2 in like 5 min...good stuff...used bloody tuna

I use WD40, been around much longer than any other scent on the market and it's cheaper   
But no all joking aside, all scent is use for is to give you that extra 1000 of sec to set the hook. Uni, Hot Sauce, pro cure doesn't draw the fish to your bait like other scents do .. Exp catfish bait/scents. Use whatever and have confidence in what you're using.

I am a Hot Sauce person my self. It's cheaper than all others, you get more for your buck and it doesn't stain everything like uni or some of the others and more importantly IMO it's a better product.

I have been really confident in PRO-CURE its sticky as hell. It comes in various scents. I have combined all the scents into one STINKY-ASS mix. Caught some lunkers!!!!

If i only new how to land big fish, this stuff would be the best.

home made sauces anyone?

TMI bro but seriously and I say that loosely around you Pdawg you make your own that is cool.

The night before I fish I put a couple of my go to baits in a container with gulp juice to marinate. I use that if it's a really slow bite but most of the time I'll use hot sauce.

I dip my baits in shart juice. Just like flies...can't keep the fish off my bait!

Any of you guys cure your baits in those scents the day before going out?

I like to use smelly jelly bass feast or unibutter or I'll just go to the store and buy some squid and cutt it into strips.

Found this old post and had been wondering for a while what fish scents we are using right now. I saw this video that shows that bass use their sense of smell more than any other to get around. I had been using procure sardine super gel off and on but after watching the video I use it more often. I also use smelly jelly and am wondering what else you have used and trust. I haven't tried anything for freshwater and am interested in what you guys use that works both fresh and salt. This thread is from many moons back and a lot of new stuff has come out.

I don’t do a lot of fresh water bass fishing so I have no input there. For trout I’ll spray some GarlicBang on mini jugs, power bait, and mice tails. I won’t put anything on hard baits like spinners or spoons and of course if I’m fly fishing no way.
For salt water I use the mermaids milk from HookUpBaits on almost anything ( Crustacean flavor for red crab and dark baits and Fin Fish for bright colors like sardine green and the new smelt color). I also use ProCure anchovy on grubs and swim baits. Is any of it necessary or does it help?? Who knows for sure. I’ve caught fish with and without so no scientific evidence on my end.

Seems to help attract (oil slick, glitter)
Fish also seem to hold on longer to plastic and less short bites.
Masks all the human scent guys seem to get on artificials while fishing - coffee, cheetos, tobacco, vape, THC, coors light, diesel, sausage McMuffin, jerky....
