Hey guys I was thinking about setting up a Anchor for my ODC420 but I'm not sure I have an old kettlebell weight of 10 lbs and some rope with a carabiner attached is that going to work out? any advice will be appreciated

For an anchor to work properly, you need a length of chain between the anchor and the rope. It's particularly important on a float tube or pontoon, because you probably won't have a lot of rope out and your rope angle will be pretty steep. Having that length of chain will tend to keep the anchor dug into the bottom. But then, that length of chain can become a big inconvenience.

I use a mesh diver bag "ebay" for $4 and tow rope. If it gets windy I go ashore and fill it with rocks.

Unless you're a big dude I really don't think a 10lb anchor is necessary. One of my buddies used to use two 5lb anchors for his Sea Eagle kayak and he held his position well even in winds of 10kts.
