New section on the forum is open

OK so if you are interested in creating a Chapter for your area this would be the place to start the discussion.  In the next few weeks we will be posting some rules to starting an FTFF Chapter it will start out simple so that it can grow and we will see where it goes from there.  For now the first rule is you must have 10 active members (active means 25 for more posts)

and why are we getting different chapters? I think I missed I previous related discussion...   

Growing the board we are all one big group but this will help grow other areas at least I hope.

will we keep using this same website?

I would like to join the Orange County Chapter. Currently freshwater fishing in June Lake area. Need to learn more about the art of tube fishing.

I have created a thread for the OC Chapter, anyone less that once to start a chapter post up your thread hear and let your friends know.

OK guys so we are off to a slow start we can all see that, but it will take time to see how well this will work. I really feel that in time this will be a great way to grow new members as well as keep the board active or at least more then it is when it is slow. Take a look at the posts so far if you are in the area of one of these Chapters sign up help us get the ball rolling. If you feel as if you would like to run a Chapter in your area go for it. Again it will take time to grow but I think it will be worth it. Once we have 2 or 3 groups I will beat money on it that you will see it open up like crazy.

I think this is a great idea! In fact I was already working on proposing something like this already. I joined the forum a couple of months ago and was sad to see that everyone here was in Ca. So I began to think maybe I needed to create some sort of Nebraska chapter as it is hard to hook up with other members that are states away.

I have had lots of luck in turning some Anglers into Float Tube Anglers. Then I started to test the water to see if they would be interested in joining the FTFF and creating a Nebraska chapter. Right now I have a for sure eight members and possibly fourteen!

A few days ago I logged back on the forum to propose this idea and to my surprise the forum already has it rolling! So as to whether or not it's a good idea, I would say yes!

Bigfish this is exactly why i wanted to create this Chapter idea, to give people on other areas a chance to feel connected with there own groups. I will send you a PM with some info i would like to share with you. Keep up the good work, so how else wants to start a chapter in there area.

Hey this is a cool idea. Is there anyone in the SFV? I've been away from tubing for some time. But this would be a good way to get back into it with others.
