Well I Meet up with Jerdon @ 6am with a plan to Fish the Canyon as a lot of summer time bass are deep . The plan was short lived by a Knuckle head @ about 6:45 am (ski boat) yes there out early and we had a thick fog on the water so I said no worries , boat regulations state the lake is 5mph with a running light . This guy decided to pull his wake boarder between myself and a bass boat about 2500ft apart , that was it for me I am like almost getting ran over by a wake boarder not gonna end well for me . So I headed back closer to the buoy lines and Here he comes again ( round 2) man as he passed me close to the buoy line he gave me the bird and went on about his way .. No I am angry and I tell Jerdon I am not staying out here with this guy , so inside the buoy line I go feeling pissed off as ever .
Anyhow back to the Fishing for the next hr I had one bite on the large 6" worm , but it did not stick , I was down in my luck now as I was thinking I have about 2hrs before i have to go home , then go hang with the brother .. about 45min later it happened . I see the drop shot rig i was dragging in the holder go down hard , As i set the hook into the fish I knew it was a pretty good little Perris bass , she jumped out of the water once and then just ran for that deeper water . The fight was on , with my trusty 6lb Floro I went to work getting the Bass to the Tube . picked her up and got a weight @ 4.1lbs nice lil skunk buster and my only bass of the day .
Jerdon it was nice Fishing with you brother and we will do it again soon I am sure . Few pics below of the fish I caught Enjoy
