still having a rough time at Perris

Well I hit Perris this morning from 6am till noon. Launched the prowler from sail cove and went straight to Bernasconi as per Wes's advice..worked the whole area for zero.. fished the intke same result.. I started heading down the dam and hooked about an 8 pounder and watched her spit the hook about 2 feet from the boat..aaaarrrrggggggg!!!.. a few minutes later I got a 3 pounder.. but that was it.. I threw everything in the box .. oh well beats working today..

Catching fish always seems to beat the job and no skunk. How warm was it on the lake today?

man bummer on the fish lost , but the rush of seeing a bass like that coming out of the water keeps us going back for more . The bite is there for you and your seeing some quality in the few hits your getting !

Water temp was 62 at noon air temp was about 80...

sounds about right Bro , the bass are keying on structure big time .. Sunken boats , Tire Reef , Boulders (especially the big girls ) the spawn is still in prespawn , spawn and postspawn .. a lot of fish still in prespawn locations 2-4lbers with a few bigger models mixed in .

Prehaps the bigger girls took the day off to ready themselves for the boat races this weekend , you know how that gets them all fired up !

When I was there you had to fish SLOWWWW to get bit. I was a bit hasty with my retrieve so I didn't get as many bites.

I will be heading up 2 Perris in about 35minutes , I will let you know how I do .
