Fishing at the damn dam

Hit up the dam with a few knuckle heads. On the water by 630am and the water was already pretty warm so we decided to leave the waders in the car. The growth was unbelievable! At times I felt like I was walking on water. Then the day got soo hot that it was starting to be unbearable. There were times that I thought I saw fish boils but I think it was the water starting to boil from the heat. Only managed one fish the entire day. She was a fatty and put up one crazy fight. She made my day worth it!

lol this is why I don't tube freshwater much. The fishing can be slow compared to the salt.

SFD is a very good place to tube. Don't have to worry bout motorized boats. Just gotta watch out for snakes on the water.

Thats a great lake to tube, no motor boats and it has fish I have caught several bass there and a very large carp. For some reason green pumpkin seems to work for me there real good.

I tubed SFD once many years ago with my buddy.

They had just given the OK for tubes to be allowed on lake.

I think we caught one bass and one cat..

What I do remember is catching about 4 or 5 kite strings from escaped or crashed kites!

Had a whole pile of string at the end of session. LOL
