HOOPING FOR LOBSTER FROM THE TUBE

So me and Augie set out on Monday night for a lobster session from our tubes. I know what everyone is thinking but it wasn't that bad we just put the nets on our lap and kicked out to our drop spots. We fished wile our nets were soaking and hooked up with a few fish. The pull was a little difficult though having to pull the nets with our feet dangling in front of us Augie managed to pull up a nice big bug but I got skunked on my first lobster tube session.

I was just gonna ask this dosomedirt....awesome someone brought this up, i was thinking of doing this myself....i have no idea on equipment any pointers will be good....first timer..but in newport ive seen some dudes pull some huge ones up from the just the public docks, crazy......so very intrested to the point looking at buying the gear this weekend

There is plenty of room in the back of the tube to put the net back there...

It is very doable from the tube, if the kick is not too far. I've pulled up some nice ones.

why hoop nets, just have little Eddie and Gilbert drive for them and you keep fishing lol

I got my nets at Charkbait in Huntington Beach they were the cheapest around $27.99 for the ambush nets. Check them out to compare prices it's pretty easy I'm gonna buy a piece of crap boogie board to haul my nets out next time
